Chef Program-

In this workshop, children and their parents will learn how to cook and prepare nutritious snacks, appetizers and deserts, as well as learning the value of a well balanced diet. Through this workshop, kids will gain an understanding of why they should eat certain foods, which will affect their short and long-term health. Children will also learn essential cooking skills, such as how to hold a knife, handle fresh produce, steam, boil, fry, and sauté. We will visit local farmer's markets to purchase ingredients. In each session we will prepare healthy dishes such as Veggie Chili, Mango Salsa, Guacamole, Homemade chips, Warm Quinoa Salad, Veggie-stuffed Tortilla’s, Warm flax bread, Homemade Tortilla chips, and Chocolate Candy made from the actual cocoa bean as well as muffins, cookies and much, much more. Classes in your home are tailored to your child's likes and dislikes and personal needs.
